Is WhisperMe non-custodial?
Yes. Funds never pass through our wallets. Payments go directly to the seller's address, and swaps settle peer-to-peer / atomically. We only take a fee — we never hold your crypto.
Do you require registration or KYC?
No accounts, no KYC, no identity checks. You use payment links and swaps without signing up. Privacy is the default.
Does it work over Tor?
Yes — WhisperMe is Tor-first. The full site and payment flow run over our .onion address, with clearnet as a convenience mirror.
Which coins are supported?
Native BTC, XMR, LTC, DOGE, XRP and more, plus privacy coins. The available list is curated and grows over time. EVM coins are supported via QR.
What are the fees?
A flat 3.95% service fee, plus network and swap fees where applicable. The price you see at checkout already includes net fee & slippage — no hidden surprises.
How do payment links work?
A seller creates a link for the coin and address they want to receive. The buyer opens it, pays in their coin, and WhisperMe swaps to the seller's coin and sends it to their address. No checkout account needed.
How do swaps work?
Swaps run peer-to-peer against available liquidity across markets. We coordinate the trade and take a fee — we never become the bank.
Is my activity tracked?
No tracking, no analytics on you, DO_NOT_TRACK respected. We don't profile users or sell data.
How do I swap Monero (XMR) to Bitcoin (BTC) privately?
Pick XMR → BTC in the swap widget, see the rate instantly with no sign-up, send your XMR to the one-time deposit address, and receive BTC at the address you enter at the last step. It's non-custodial and needs no account or KYC.
Can I swap crypto without an account, email or KYC?
Yes. There is no registration, no email and no identity verification. You only enter your receiving address when you confirm the swap — nothing before that.
How is WhisperMe different from a centralized exchange like Coinbase or Binance?
No accounts, no KYC and no custody. A centralized exchange holds your coins and verifies your identity; WhisperMe never holds your crypto and never asks who you are. It is Tor-first and you keep your own keys.
What happens if a swap can't be completed?
Because it is non-custodial, you are told before you send anything if a pair can't be routed — no deposit address is issued and nothing is taken. If a rare issue occurs after payment the flow retries and settles; your funds are never kept.
What is the minimum swap amount?
Minimums are small and set per coin by network limits. The widget shows the minimum for your chosen pair before you commit.
How long does a swap take?
It depends on the confirmation times of the two coins. You see the status live, and most swaps settle soon after the deposit reaches the required confirmations. Monero and a few coins need more confirmations for safety.
Can I use WhisperMe on mobile?
Yes. The site works in any mobile browser, including Tor Browser, and a signed Android app is also available.
